R1::P4::158.6 (-12.4)

(-18.4) Got a couple of those lbs off that I gained over Christmas..whew!

Frankly, I'm not a huge fan of the low carb diet...It leaves me wanting more (story of my life.LOL), but I manage to do it with this crazy will power thing that came from "I don't know where!!!"

Anyway...I was not fortunate enough to be able to eat whatever I wanted and not gain anything...however...it did come off pretty quickly when I cracked down...so I guess that's a good thing. The moral of this story...only splurge occassionally...and make healthy eating a lifestyle.

R1 :: P4

A wonderfully busy day followed by a lazy night of movie watching...just the way I'd like to spend my vacation. Now I need to find something to do the next 2 days. Didn't weigh myself again...after gaining 4 lbs...I refuse to look...just going to be good and check in a couple days. LOL

Saturday, December 27, 2008

R1 :: P4

Back to eating low carb, no sugar...I feel better already. Not going to weigh myself now..it's too late, but I'll check in the AM and hopefully it's better.

R1::P4::160.4 (-10.6)

(-16.6) Well, that was fun...eating like there's no tomorrow...I am glad Christmas is over and I'll be even more excited when Joe eats all the treats in the house...should only take a day or two...LOL I'm going back to eating healthy today...ugh! Can't wait to start Round 2, but I can watch my diet until then and try to get back to my last injection weight. I'm 4.4 lbs over that today.

I'm definately, DEFINATELY going to shoot for 140 next round. I want to shop for swimming suits and actually wear them. I think I need a tanning package...shall I treat myself? I think I should!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SYRIANA!!!

Final Pics - Round 1

I can't believe I'm actually posting these! Horrible moment of truth for me. My before and after pics. I will definately do Round 2, but I did want you to see how well Round 1 worked. These are really not good pics...but it was the best I could do without asking for help.

Huge reduction in my chest and hips as well as a reduction of cellulite on my legs and I'm loving that my butt is about 1/2 it's original size. Went from Size 12-14 clothes to size 8-10. Awesome 1st Round.

NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO GASP OR LAUGH!!!

I actually changed the pics to just two...I couldn't stomach putting the rest out there.

I think you can click on the pic to enlarge it...although I would not recommend this. LOL

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 21 :: 158.6 (-12.4)

(-18.4) Final Day of P3. I have to say that this has been one of the easiest diets I've ever been on. I think that motivation and will power do still have alot to play in the success of any diet, but this one gave results so quickly that it wasn't hard to stick to it.

Happy Sunday - hope everyone has their Christmas shopping done..I don't. Will have to venture out later to pick up a few more things...then I can relax.

I have a half day on Wednesday and then don't come back to work until the next Wednesday. It will be great to relax and hang at home. I'm going to go through more boxes and get some things together to give to charity.

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 20 :: 158.2 (-12.8)

(-18.8) Didn't realize I hadn't posted in a couple days. Still holding tight within the 2 lbs of my LIW. Went out last night for the company Christmas party. Had Sprite Zero and JD and a bunch of Buffalo Wings. Dropped 0.6lbs overnight.

I think I have a touch of a hangover...LOL On my way to go get mama for a day at the Sprint Center...better drink more coffee!!!

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 17 :: 158.0 (-13.0)

(-19.0) I hate mornings. I really could go back to sleep for a few more hours and be totally good with that. Next week will be a short week and SANTA IS COMING!!!! So I will offer up this week in consideration of better days to come. LOL

Oh, and I am taking Mama to see the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular on Saturday and then having lunch...or dinner...so that is also something to look forward to...love hanging out with Mama...she's super cool.

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 16 :: 157.8 (-13.2)

(-19.2) Hangin in there

I went to Red Robin again today and had, yet again, a bleu cheese bunless burger...man they are good....and again, no allergic reaction to the cheese. I'm cured!! LOL

I keep putting on my blog that Phase 3 is No Sugar, No Carb...I need to change that to No Sugar, No Starch because that is what the protocol says, but I'm just very cautious about eating too many carbs. This is good for me to watch, but I am not completely staying away from carbs. I just take in VERY little. I'm eating mostly meats (beef, chicken, fish), veggies (had an avacado yesterday and it was awesome), some fruits but not much (watching the sugars), sugar free jello (my treat of choice), creams and cheeses.

I cannot wait to have a bowl of cereal in P4. I know that sound ridiculous, but I really, really want cereal. I'm going to gradually add things back into my diet and weigh every day just so I can see what, if anything, causes a change in my weight or if something causes heartburn.

I'm really glad I'm going to be in P4 at Christmas. I WILL eat Potato Soup and may even indulge in some rotelle dip and chips or some fudge. :o FUDGE? That would definately be a true test of whether this protocol works huh?

Sus said, just eat raw/organic food...don't eat things that come out of box, watch the MSG's and whatever I do, don't go back to eating convenience food and stay away from artificial sweetners *use Stevia. Nothing is more convenient than an apple or bowl of strawberries...just have to train yourself to put in natural food. That is the key to success.

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 15 :: 157.9 (-13.1)

(-19.1) Little gain, no biggie. Have a great day.

Sunday, December 14, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 14 :: 157.2 (-13.8)

(-19.8) Wow..down 2 lbs overnight...I must have been "Sweatin' to the Oldies" in my dreams! I'm only 0.4 lbs over my LIW and holding. Still no heartburn...that may not facinate anyone else, but it thrills me!

Saturday, December 13, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 13 :: 159.2 (-11.8)

(-17.8) TOM is here and causing issues with my weight, but I'm not going to worry about it because I know I am following the maintenance plan and any gain I'm experiencing is him and his luggage. By Wednesday I should be back to normal.

I'm going to do measurements again next week because I cannot understand how my weight is not changing yet my new size 10's are falling off and my new size 8's are starting to get baggy. I got the 10's for my "FAT" days (TOM days) but they are still too big. What the hell? I guess the down side of losing weight is none of your clothes fit and you have to buy new ones or look like you have poo in your pants...LOL

Thursday, December 11, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 11 :: 158.8 (-12.2)

(-18.2) Wanna thank Diana for telling TOM he can come to my house this weekend. Oh Goodie! Hope she enjoys herself! UGH!

Yea, I didn't post yesterday, it was 158.2 again, but today I went up, again, thanks to the stress of knowing that jerk is coming. I'm sticking to the plan and steering clear of sugars and most carbs.

I guess I have 10 more days of P3...we are having a company christmas thing at Patty's on Thursday, that will be day....let me calculate....day 18, so I will still have to be cautious of what cocktails and snacks I consume. Going to have to find out what is a low carb, low sugar drink that I can have cuz I would definately like to consume some alcohol if I can.

Monday, December 8, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 8 :: 157.4 (-13.6)

(-19.6) I love it when I go and eat juicy burgers with cheese and a big salad and still lose a pound. Dr. Simeons was just so smart. LOL

My new favorite thing to eat. Roast beef with cream cheese rolled around a pickle spear..Yummy! That's what's for lunch today.

Also discovered over the weekend that hard boiled eggs do not seem to bother me nearly as much as fried or over-easy. Not sure why, but I enjoyed two eggs yesterday this way and was fine. Of course, like Susan said, it may have just taken a few days to adjust to eating egg protiens again. Who knows...our bodies are a mystery.

Sunday, December 7, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 7 :: 158.4 (-12.6)

(-18.6) No change in my weight...that's a good sign. What's more facinating is I still have not experience heartburn since the first day of this protocol. Even all the meat and cheese I'm having...including pepperoni which is usually torture. Nothing at all. It is very exciting. I have suffered from heartburn for 22 years...and it's been even worse the last few years. I hope it never comes back.

P3 is very easy...the normal things that I have always craved like bread, tortillas, chips...I"m not having a very hard time avoiding them. I do miss my cereal and milk and that is the first thing I will have when P4 starts.

Happy Sunday...I need to finish up some Christmas shopping.

Saturday, December 6, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 6 :: 158.4 (-12.6)

(-18.6) I guess I am stabilizing because after eating about 6 ounces of colby jack cheese, pepperoni and two helpings of taco salad minus the taco, I still lost 0.2 lbs.

I feel good, I'm not starving, and as of yet, I'm not completely sick of meat and cheese. It helps to throw some veggies in for good measure and I'm sure it helps in the stars department too although that has slowed down considerably.

Friday, December 5, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 5 :: 158.6 (-12.4)

(-18.4) Yippee...atleast I don't have to do a steak day...I was so looking forward to tacos tonight.
Although I did read that if you do a steak day you could lose up to 7 lbs...that would nice...LOL Don't believe it, but I would be willing to try it just to see.

Still loving my coffee with Stevia and Whipping Cream. I could have just this all day and be perfectly happy. I am a coffee freak!

11am - is it normal to crave cheese? I'm out and need to run to the store . I'm seriously thinking about going NOW cuz I WANT CHEESE!

Thursday, December 4, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 4 :: 158.8 (12.2)

(-18.2) I feel fluffy and I'm exactly 2 lbs over my LIW. I guess that is okay, but I really wanted to have better weight loss than this. I guess I'll have to wait until Round 2. Thank goodness for the excellent inches I lost or I'd be discouraged. LOL

Diana is going to blow me away in the first 2 weeks I think. If I gain anymore I'm going to start freaking out. I can't blame this on STARS because I've had them.

Tuesday, December 2, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 2 :: 157.2

I vow to eat no eggs today...LOL Yuck Yuck!

I stopped by the grocery store and picked up some heavy whipping cream for my coffee...oh it is devine!!! I also got some sausage links for breakfast that were delish...and some cheese and hard salami for lunch. I'm going again at lunch time to get things for home. I am definately trying Susie's Cottage Cheese Chocolate Mousse...wish strawberries were in season...maybe (I'm having a thought)...maybe I could add frozen strawberries to the blender and just make like a thick smoothie. That's sounds good huh? Anyway...I will be all over that later this afternoon.

Monday, December 1, 2008

R1 :: P3 :: DAY 1 :: 156.2 (14.8)

(-20.8) I am so glad it is P3 day...I am looking forward to consuming more calories today. The HCG has obviously worn off. I was a little cranky yesterday. I think I'll have an egg for breakfast with my coffee.

This just doesnt' feel right. Eggs, meat, cheese...I feel fat already. I think tomorrow I'm going to keep it light...this just feels like too much grease and fat for me. Maybe I'm supposed to do this, but like I said, it doesn't feel right.

That being said....I didn't get all stuffed up when I had bleu cheese today...no allergic reaction like normal...that's good. I also have not suffered any heartburn yet...I say yet because I expect it anytime.

Sunday, November 30, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 32 :: NO INJ :: 156.8(-14.2)

(-20.2) Whoopsie! What happened? Maybe all that walking I did yesterday? Built up some muscle or something. Dang...that's it...I'm sitting on my butt all day today and nobody, but NOBODY, is going to get me to move! Well, except when I take Heather shopping for a couple hours, but OTHER THAN THAT.

Saturday, November 29, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 31 :: NO INJ :: 156.0 (-15.0)

(-21.0) Not bad, not bad at all. I'm going to take some after pics today...not sure if I will post them or not..the "befores" are pretty disgusting to look at...atleast for me.

Went Christmas shopping with Mom for 8 hours today...non-stop, except for when we had lunch and saw Kayla, Chris, Tierney, Brenton and Sklar. We only visited for about 20 minutes...and they showed us their Build-a-Bears. Holy crap those things are expensive.

I got 3 pairs of size 8 jeans and 1 size 10 for my fat days....down 2 sizes...could be the manufacturer, but I'm still going to put the tag on the outside...LOL I also had to buy two new bras because I was falling out the bottom of my other ones...oops I got 36C...so I'm guessing the other ones were 38D's...I'm pretty sure without disrobing and looking which I don't feel like doing because I am exhausted.

I ate at Subway in the mall today. Did you know you can order any 6" sub as a salad for just $1 more. Tell me that little pile of lettuce is worth more than a big ole honking piece of bread? Seriously, I think they put more veggies on when you order a sandwich...must have been paying for the little plastic bowl and lid. What a scam. But anyway, the chicken was grilled, looked like what I make at home...as far as size, threw it on a bed of lettuce with a couple slices of tomato, some onions and a couple slices of cucumber. I never did understand if you could or could not mix the veggies...I usually didn't, but I did today...what a rebel. Had vinegar as dressing...and pepper. It was good.

Oh, Friday night, we are having Taco's and Cake at Mom's for Dad's birthday. We probably all need to bring something. Me and Mom figured we needed about 6lbs of hamburger, about 60 soft tortilla shells, a mountain of cheese, sour cream, 3 onions, 3-4 big tomatoes, a couple jars of salsa and maybe some re-fart beans. Cool thing about this...I get to eat it..well, no shells or beans, but all the rest...whoo hoo!!! I so 'sited!! Any suggestions on a gift would be greatly appreciated...I never know what to get him.

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 30 :: INJ 30 :: 156.8 (-14.2)

(-20.2) Whew..made it through Thanksgiving AND lost a pound. SWEET! I handled so much food and swear my hands were covered in grease when I was tearing apart that turkey. I was certain I would wake up at 165lbs....but...I guess I washed them fast enough that it wasn't an issue.

Thursday, November 27, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 29 :: INJ 29 :: 157.8 (-13.2)

(-19.2) Today I'm going to be cooking like crazy. All the food during holidays usually turns me off completely from eating so I don't suspect I will have any trouble. Tomorrow is my last injection. I'm happy with the results and am looking forward to eating relatively normal by Monday. I was highly addicted to starches, so I'm curious to find out if I still crave them after this protocol. I'm hoping everything has been reset and I will have no problem maintaining a healthy weight. Still plan on doing a second round in mid January.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Larry and Mike are taking me to Red Robin for lunch on Monday for a bleu cheese burger. I can't wait.

Wednesday, November 26, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 28 :: INJ 28 :: 158.4 (-12.6)

No loss...dang...must have been that extra slice of talapia...he he he
Maybe tomorrow will be better, I've been good today.

7:00am Coffee with Splenda
3:00pm 100 gram Chicken Breast (that was it...I was busy)
8:00pm 100 grams Chicken Breast, asparagus, apple, ice tea with Splenda

Tuesday, November 25, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 27 :: INJ 27 :: 158.4 (-12.6)

(-18.6) Nice.
7:00am: Coffee with Stevia
2:00pm: 100 grams Grilled Chicken, Romain Lettuce, Melba Toast

I forgot to inject today...oh well, no biggie...not like I'm starving or anything. LOL

Monday, November 24, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 26 :: INJ 26 :: 159.2 (-11.8)

(-17.8)

7:00am Coffee with Splenda

7:00pm 93/7 Hamburger, Spinach Leaves, Breadstick

A LITTLE MATH FUN

In my free time, I like to do math problems....weird huh?

Taken From Pounds and Inches by Dr. ATW Simeons:

The Ratio of Pounds to Inches

An interesting feature of the HCG method is that, regardless of how fat a patient is, the greatest circumference -- abdomen or hips as the case may be is reduced at a constant rate which is extraordinarily close to 1 cm. per kilogram of weight lost. At the beginning of treatment the change in measurements is somewhat greater than this, but at the end of a course it is almost invariably found that the girth is as many centimeters less as the number of kilograms by which the weight has been reduced. I have never seen this clear cut relationship in patients that try to reduce by dieting only.

Let's just see how accurate this is.

1CM = 0.39 INCHES
1 KILOGRAM = 2.204622622 POUNDS

The area of my body with the largest circumference was my hips at 43.5 INCHES

As of today I have lost 17.4 POUNDS which is equal to 7.892507 KILOGRAMS
According to Dr. Simeons my 7.892507 KILOGRAMS should be equivalent to 7.892507 CENTIMETERS reduced in my lumpy hips. Converted to inches...it is 3.078078 INCHES.

I have lost 3.0 INCHES in my hips, give or take.

THAT IS EXTRAODINARILY CLOSE! Well done Dr. S!~

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 25 :: INJ 25 :: 159.6 (-11.4)

(-17.4) Finally, I welcome the 150's...barely. And, I'm happy to report, I've lost 6 1/2 more inches. Whoo Hoo! I also found a pic that was disgusting, yet inspiring. It's a pic of what 1 lb of fat looks like...and I am missing 17.4 of these...how cool it that...gross huh?

And Susan showed me fat vs. muscle comparison. Same weight.

Saturday, November 22, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 24 :: INJ 24 :: 160.2 (-10.8)

(-16.8) Finally...a significant loss. I would think I could pull off another 0.3 lbs so I could be in the 150's, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Lol

I don't remember what my original goal was without looking back several pages, so I'm just going to set my goal for the end of P2 at 155lbs. If I reach that, I will be happy...that will be a loss of 22lbs of fat. I'll be pretty happy with that and will be able to reach my final goal in Round 2 of 140lbs.

All I know is I definately look and feel a lot better than I did 24 days ago. I highly recommend this protocol to anyone. (8) more days of the VLCD to go...can't wait to have a big steak with cheese!! I'm already researching all the zero carb foods to find out what I can have.

Friday, November 21, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 23 :: INJ 23 :: 161.2 (-9.8)

(15.8) Ugh...slow moving....I'm in a rut. I have 10 more days until I go to P3...I really want to lose another 10lbs, but I don't think I'm going to make it. I was shooting for 20 (pre Load Day) lbs of loss during this round. The 150's are just messing with my head and won't come! UGH!
Can you tell I"m getting annoyed?...LOL

7am: Coffee with Splenda
12:30pm: 100 grams shrimp, 2 celery stalks, melba toast ( I DO NOT like celery..blah!)

Thursday, November 20, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 22 :: INJ 22 :: 161.6 (-9.4)

(-15.4) I think I'm experiencing a stall. I actually didn't eat much yesterday and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it...it was just a really busy day. I was up until 1am and only had 5 hours sleep. I also need to make stars. Regardless, a very frustrating "nothing" this morning.

I will try to drink more water today and see if that helps and make sure I eat everything I am supposed to eat.

9:00am Melba Toast
1:00pm 100 grams Shrimp
8:00pm Apple
9:00pm 100 grams Talapia (I love this fish..really!)

I've been painting for the past two nights, but I'm calling it quits now 10:30pm and am going to try to get some much needed sleep. I am not the slightest bit hungry...actually less hungry than I have been this whole time I have been on protocol. People at work are noticing the weight loss...those that don't see me every day....thats good since I'm wearing the same clothes...well...smaller jeans.

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 21 :: INJ 21 :: 161.6 (-9.4)

(-15.4) Been really busy...no appetite today at all
I had 100 grams chicken and a breadstick at lunch and a 100gram hamburger for dinner. Oh and I had an apple today.

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 20 :: INJ 20 :: 162.2 (-8.8)

8:00am: Coffee with Splenda
1:30pm: Shrimp (probably more than 100 grams, I didn't have my scales), breadstick
7:00pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Onion, Melba Toast
WATER

(-14.8) Down 0.6 today...although TOM makes me feel 5 lbs heavier. Havent' felt like posting much...but I will update later today.

Monday, November 17, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 19 :: INJ 19 :: 162.8 (-8.2)

(-14.2) Up 1lb today. Ugh! I'm miserable...come on Wednesday!

Sunday, November 16, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 18 :: INJ 18 :: 161.8 (-9.2)

(-15.2) TOM finally showed up this morning....happy to see him...now he can go.

Running low on HCG....I drew out 4 needles worth and estimate there are maybe 3 left. Sus is going to give me what she had left which will be maybe 4 more days. Oh well, if I have to stop a day or two early it won't break my heart.

So today....

8:00am : Coffee with Splenda (left my Stevia on my desk at work)
2:00pm: 100 grams Chicken (cold with mustard), breadstick, celery
3:00pm: Strawberries (by the way, if you buy the frozen ones, and defrost them, they are mushy and kinda like the stuff you throw on top of shortcake. Mmmmm...shortcake.)
7:00pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Tomatoes, Breadstick
10:30pm: Apple - if I have any left...I've actually not checked.
LOTS OF WATER

Saturday, November 15, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 17 :: INJ 17 :: 162.2 (-8.8)

(-14.8) Another 0.8lbs...I'm on a roll.
Total inches lost to date: 21.5 inches...awesome!
Not sure why my bicep is 0.5 inches larger...weird.
17 more days of the VLCD...I'm looking forward to the final weight..and to see that it stabilizes when I start eating more calories. Very anxious to see the entire protocol work it's magic!
Hoping to lose another 12lbs by then. Wouldn't it be nice to be 150 again...it's been 3 years.

Friday, November 14, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 16 :: INJ 16 :: 163.0 (-8.0)

7am: coffee with Stevia
11am: Apple
1:00pm: 100 grams chicken, spinach, breadstick
7:00pm: 93/7 hamburger, tomatoes

(-14.0) Another 0.8 last night. I think cutting out the red meat for the last 2 days has really helped. That's 1 lb per day while on the VLCD. Awesome!

You know I really meant to have Talapia again for dinner tonight, but the hamburger was defrosted, and I needed to separate it out into 100 gram servings and by the time I got it all done (2 lbs worth), I was like...heck with it...I'm having a burger.

I got two new frying pans to go with my awesome stainless set, but these two are coated with this Thermolon non-stick surface that contains no PTFE..which I assume is that deadly stuff that I was eating off my old pans. It's extremely non-stick, so it will making cooking with no oils much easier. http://www.sprig.com/greenpan_cookware

Thursday, November 13, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 15 :: INJ 15 :: 163.8 (-7.2)

7am: coffee with Stevia
10am: apple
1:00pm: 100 grams chicken, celery
5:00pm: breadstick
7:00pm: Talapia, asparagus, breadstick

(-13.2 from load weight) I'm having issues computing simple math this morning. I believe I'm averaging .55 lbs per day. Maybe I'm losing brain matter! Oh well, it's early and I'm losing, so who cares! LOL

It was an awesome 0.8 drop overnight, so I'm going to continue to minimize the red meat...seems to help. I'm shooting for 150 at the end of P2...I think I can accomplish that...just need to find what works and what doesn't..I'm getting better.

Wednesday, November 12, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 14 :: INJ 14 :: 164.6 (-6.4)

7am: coffee with Stevia
1:00pm: 100 grams chicken, spinach, breadstick
3:00pm: handful of strawberries
7:00pm: Talapia, lettuce, radishes, breadstick

(-12.4) That's cool...considering TOM is coming. I thought I might gain today because I've got that puffy feeling. So...pleasantly surprised.

I went to the grocery store at lunchtime and reloaded up on veggies. My diet has been pretty boring...hamburger mostly...and tomatoes ALOT. I'm concerned that I am not losing as fast I could and decided to incorporate some additional veggies into my diet..more often. Also, I bought some talapia. Not a fan of fish AT ALL, so any suggestions on how to make this taste good...oh, I dunno...like a hamburger...would be great! :)

OH HAPPY DAY! Came home from work and notice my Size 12 jeans were very loose. Pulled out my Size 10's and they fit PERFECT! I'm so happy. I remember trying to get these over my thighs a few months ago with no success. Going to do measurements on Saturday...I think it will be an amazing transformation.

Also, Talapia with Lemon Juice, Salt & Pepper wasn't bad at all.

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 13 :: INJ 13 :: 165.0 (-6.0)

8:00am: Coffee with Stevia
10:00am: Grapefruit
1:30pm: 80/20 Hamburger (In a rush), Radishes, Melba Toast
7:30pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Tomato, Breadstick
LOTS OF WATER

(-12.o) I feel a little better now.

Monday, November 10, 2008

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 12 :: INJ 12 :: 165.6 (-5.4)

8:00am: Coffee with Stevia
10:00am: Handful of Strawberries
1:00pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Lettuce
6:00pm: Breadstick
8:00pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Radishes, and a Melba Toast

I think I'm going to skip my fruit tonight..I feel fat!
LOTS OF WATER

OH DANG! See what happens if you don't listen to Dr. Simeon!!!! LOSER!
(-11.4) Could it be the hand lotion?...Likely. Could it be that my TOM is just around the corner? Likely. Could it be all the physical exersion yesterday cleaning out closets and moving boxes? Possibly. But regardless...some how, some way...I gain 0.4 overnight and I am not at all happy about it!~
:( <---that's my unhappy face.

I do feel the TOM coming on...reaching "40 something" has caused some very exciting new changes in my cycles...mostly moving them closer together...every three weeks instead of every 4...so...it's been 3 weeks since the last one...I was hoping I'd be normal this time...but...the symptoms are there. No problem..hanging tight! But I'm not using lotion again just in case...LOL

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 11 :: INJ 11 :: 165.2 (-5.8)

8am: Coffee with Splenda
12pm: Apple
3:00pm: Chicken, Asparagus, Garlic Breadstick
9:00pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Tomato, Garlic Breadsticks (God I love these!)

(-11.8) According to my calculations..lol...I am losing an average of 1.07lbs per day. If you don't count my load weight, I'm still losing 0.64 per day. There is no other way I could lose this much in just 9 days and still feel good and full of energy...believe me, I've tried 'em all!

I am not so energetic the last couple of days but I am fighting this cold that seems to be effecting throat, ears, nose and my skin is bone dry. I'm going to have to break down and use a little bit of lotion.

I noticed something yesterday...I haven't had heartburn since Day 3...granted I'm not eating the crap I usually eat, but the folks at work think it's bizarre I can get horrible heartburn from plain oatmeal.

I also have high cholesterol...think I'll make an appointment to do my blood work in the next couple weeks. Not sure if I should do it during P2, P3 or P4. Gonna have to ask my mentor Susan for some advise on that.

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 10 :: INJ 10 :: NO WEIGH IN

8am: Coffee with Splenda
11am: Strawberries, Melba toast
1:30pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Tomato
7:00pm: Chicken, Lettuce, Cucumber, bread stick
10:00pm: Apple
12:00pm: melba toast
AVERAGE AMT OF WATER

Spent the night at my sister Susan's house and then went to the KU Campus to have a Hydro test done. Pretty cool. I didn't get to weigh on my usual scale, so I'm not going to post a weight until tomorrow.

However....
The test results showed today on a VERY accurate scale, that my weight was 167.2 and I am 38% body fat. So it looks like I have made a good decision to do this diet and get rid of that fat. I would like to test again, but will probably wait until Round 2. I got a pretty good indication from the test today that I need to lose about 30 more pounds of fat to be AVERAGE for my age group. That would put me around 135lbs and should bring my body fat percentage down into the mid 20's.

The coffee I had in Lawrence was super high in caffeine apparently which made me edgy and kinda nauseous, so I ate a melba toast on my way home and laid down for a bit. Couldn't sleep...because I was super wired...so I had some strawberries and that made me feel a little better. Now it's 2:30pm and I am super tired...getting up at 5:30am was a little hard on me...so I'm going to go take me a little nappie and see if I feel better...my cold isn't helping either. I feel very tired and weak.

I got kinda hungry at midnight and couldn't sleep...not feeling well. So I had a melba toast..didn't take any Nyquil, but I should have.

R1 :: P1 :: DAY 9 :: INJ 9 :: 167.0 (-4.0)

7am: Coffee with Stevia
12pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Lettuce, Melba Toast
3:00pm: Orange
7:00pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Lettuce, Tomato, Melba Toast
Nyquil
LOTS OF WATER

(1.0) Good day! I feel better, medicine didn't mess anything up and I'm officially 10lbs down from my load weight. Yea! My stomach/abdomen area is changing shape...I swear. I can't explain exactly what it is, but instead of one big innertube, I now have 3 small innertubes..something is eating away at my fat roll! LOL Can't wait to do measurements next Thursday and see what I have accomplished. I can feel it changing...but I promised myself I would wait until the 2 week mark before I checked my progress.

I am partial to beef...I would rather have a hamburger at every meal than chicken, fish or shrimp. I guess whatever makes this diet easier.

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 8 :: INJ 8 :: 168.0 (-3.0)

7am: Coffee with Stevia
12pm: Chicken, Baby Spinach, Breadstick
3:00pm: Apple
7:00pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Lettuce, Tomato, Melba Toast
Nyquil & 2 Zinc Lozenges
LOTS OF WATER

(-0.6)Okay...I have to admit it does seem like a lot of work for 3 lbs. I know! I know! It's really 9 lbs, but I didn't even have those first 6 before the protocol. I took some "before" pictures last night.....all I can say is ewwwww-a! I am horrified of how awful I look..especially from the back. Definately incentive to stick to the program. It is evident from these photos that I will need a minimum of 2 rounds.

I'm getting a cold, chest congestion and all that jazz. A miserable night. I finally decided to take some Nyquil and pass out...and a couple Zinc throat lozenges. Wondering if this will screw up my weight loss.

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 7 :: INJ 7 :: 168.6 (-2.4)

7am: Lots of Coffee with Stevia
8:30am: melba toast (I had the munchies)
1:00pm: chicken breast, fresh baby spinach
4:20om: apple
7:00pm: 100grams shrimp, fresh baby spinach, Braggs Aminos, breadstick
9:30pm: Strawberries

(-0.4) Only down a tiny bit today...whaaa. That's okay though, it means yesterdays loss of 2.6 was not incorrect. I had hamburger twice yesterday...today...I think I'll do chicken and shrimp and see if that makes the weight drop more. I skipped 1 melba toast and one fruit yesterday and didn't even realize it until thismorning. I love this diet.

I wonder if it is possible for me to be 140 by Christmas. That would be so cool...just a thought that crossed my mind...back to work.

I kinda had a hankerin' for bread tonight...not sure why...that's just my weakness I guess. I didn't have any, but I thought fondly of it. LOL

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 6 :: INJ 6 :: 169.0 (-2.0)

7am: Lots of Coffee with Stevia
1:30pm: 93/7 hamburger, cucumber, spinach leaf, melba
3:00pm: Orange
7:00pm: 93/7 hamburger, tomato, onion
LOTS OF WATER

(-2.6) Down 8lbs from load days and 2lbs from starting weight.

Not bad...got rid of all the load weight plus a couple lbs. Scale was being fruity...had to weigh 6 times. It was bouncing between 169 and 170.2. I took off my socks...wow those were thick socks...lol. I will have to wait til tomorrow to see if it was accurate...obviously I went with the lowest weight that showed up the most. By the way...I"m not hungry and my energy level is very high. I'm sure that has nothing to do with the pot of coffee I have drank so far today.

12:30pm - this is crazy....I am still not the least bit hungry. I'm going to go ahead and have my lunch..but I could really go without and not even care. I love prego chick hormones!!!!

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 5 :: INJ 5 :: 171.6 (+0.6)

7am: Lots of Coffee with Stevia
10am: apple
1:30pm: chicken breast, lettuce, melba toast
6:30pm: 93/7 hamburger, tomato, melba toast
9:00pm: strawberries
LOTS OF WATER
(Estimated Calorie Intake: 434)

(-1.6) Almost lost all of my load weight. I was a little dizzy when I woke up, but not hungry which is good and no headache. Once I was up and around for a little bit and had my first cup of coffee, I was fine. I have a bruise where I did my last injection - in the fat of my abdomen. Yesterday was the first time I saw blood when pulling out the needle. Not sure what I did wrong, but I left a penny size bruise. Weird. So today, I injected in my thigh.

First day going to work on this...I think it will be easier because I will keep myself busy. Taking some chicken, melba toast, lettuce and an apple to get me through the day. Also - Celestial Seasonings has two flavors of tea that are awesome. Add some Stevia and it's like having dessert. My favorite is English Toffee and the other was Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride (Holiday Blend).

I started getting a bit of a headache around 11am and I took some Excedrin Migraine and it went away. I'm not sure how medication will hurt my diet, but hopefully after today, I won't need it anymore. I opted not to continue my cholesterol medication that I rarely took on a regular basis anyway. I just don't like taking medication...except for my headache pills that I can't live without. Hunger was minimal today and when it hit...I ate...and it was all good. Still waiting for that day that I have no hunger at all.

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 4 :: INJ 4 :: 173.2 (+2.2)

8:30am: Coffee & Strawberries
12:45pm: 100 grams hamburger, spinach leaves, melba toast
6:30pm: 100 grams chicken, lettuce, melba toast, small dill pickle (probably a no no, but I was still a bit unsatisfied)
LOTS OF WATER
(Estimated Calorie Intake: 436)

(-3.8) That feels better...guess my melba toast drama wasn't that bad. I also noticed I only had 396 calories...yet I wasn't really hungry. I never ate the additional fruit last night...just didn't sound good.

Had a headache most of the day...took migraine medication and it took 2 doses to work...it's a doozie!

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 3 :: INJ 3 :: 177.0 (+6.0)

Woke up still feeling stuffed...made some coffee...I don't feel like eating anything. It would be great if this lasted, but I'm doubtful.

ALL MORNING: COFFEE
1:30 pm: 100 grams chicken breast, lettuce
5:30 pm: apple
8:00pm: 100 grams 93/7 lean ground beef, cucumber, melba toast
Lots of water
(Estimated Calorie Intake: 396)

I might have screwed up on the melba toast. I wasnt' sure first of all if melba toast all came in the same size and secondly if it was supposed to be a serving size (which according to the box was 3) or just 1 piece. I had two pieces...they are about 5 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. Shoot I don't know..but I can tell ya..they were delicious! I found a website that said the melba toast should be 3 grams...I went back to the box....1 serving size (3 pieces) is 17 grams! Oh poo! I guess you are supposed to have 2 a day...so I'm okay...I think...but still I'm irritated that I didn't know what to do and glad that I didn't have 3. I'm going to assume now..that 1 is one...no matter how tiny and unsatisfying that may seem.

I'm starting to get a headache, but I don't know if that is the diet or the fact that I've had a mild headache for about 5 days now...blamed it on the weather before..guess I'll go with that reason for now...unless it gets worse.

I need to have another fruit..I think I'll make it strawberries...again...going to have to find out how many I'm supposed to have. I thought I was prepared for this...but I question every morsel I put in my mouth.

Aside from all that...it's been a relatively easy day for me...no major hunger.

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 2 :: INJ 2 :: 174.8 (+3.8)

Looks like load day #1 went as planned...geez!

I was advised to eat the food I love, because I'm going to miss it when it's gone. I did one better. I am eating the food I love that I wouldn't dare eat on a normal day because I know how bad it is.

Breakfast - Sausage, Egg & Cheese Bisquit, Hash browns, and Coffee
Lunch - Egg Drop Soup, General Tao's Chicken, Crab Rangoon and Fried Rice (Hell ya!)
Christy went and got me another one of those horrible horrible Muffins and I"m going to carb out on that before I go home...if I can.

Tonight was a struggle. I made pork chops and mac 'n cheez...and topped it off with 2 slices of bread and butter and a banana. I even tried to eat some halloween candy, but I am DONE! I just can't do anymore. I am so tired I can't keep my eyes open...so I think tomorrow, I will be thankful that I don't have to eat like an elephant.

I am probably going to look back on this post and cry when I'm hungry...but I will try my hardest to remember how miserable it was and how great it will be to lose.

R1 :: P2 :: DAY 1 :: INJ 1 :: 171.0

I went out last night and bought some junk food to eat at work and a kitchen scale (couldn't find one of those digital ones - 3 stores - nada). I got the super cool stainless steel one...I like it..its purty! I also got batteries for my digital scale only to find out that the dang thing didn't have decimals...which I understand is crucial. So....it's lunch time at the office and I went to Walmart and bought another one with decimals.

Load day is exausting. It's only 1:30pm and I could so use a nap!

I took my measurements last night and will post them when I get home today. Wasn't feeling well last night so I was doing good to record them on paper.

It feels like Thanksgiving Day...with all the food I'm eating. So far in the last 6 1/2 hours I've eaten: Sausage, Egg, Cheese Bisquit, hashbrown, lots of coffee with cream and sugar, candy bar, little debbie cake, I handful of cashews, some 100% Juicy Juicy, and now...I'm eating a roast beef and cheddar, curly fries and a coke from Arby's.

Argh...I want to go to bed early tonight just so I can stop eating. LOL

Back again! Okay, it's 9:45pm and I am going to bed. I ate one of those horrible huge muffins from the gas station that are supposed to be 3 servings...LOL...whatever! I ate the whole thing...and a bag of kettle chips...and a large convenience store cappuchino...I'm pretty sure I'm going to explode at any moment.

Here are my measurements:

Neck 14.5
Shoulders 44
Chest (fullest) 43
Chest (braline) 34.5
Waist 33
Abdomen 41.5
Hips (bone) 42.5
Hips (fullest) 43.5
Hips (crease) 42
Thigh 25.5
Calf 16
Bicep 12

Stroke of Luck

A friend on my sister mixed up a batch in error, thinking it would keep for several months. So I get to have it and when my supplies show up...I will reimburse her. So...I guess here we go.

I will take my first injection on Thursday, 10/30/2008 and start loading up....just my luck there will be lots of Halloween candy around...I'm thinking a bag of Hersheys' Kisses with Almonds sounds really good!!

I will get all my measurements on Wednesday. Sis has it planned out that I will have 30 injections, ending on November 30th, 3 addl days of the VLCD, 3 weeks of No Carbs and I will be in P4 just in time for Christmas. Sweet...so nice to have the guidance, support and encouragement. I looked at this program a long time ago and it just confused me completely. Now that it has been patiently explained to me...I am very excited to get started.

Good times...I'm looking forward to all the health benefits of not being overweight.

Ordered My Supplies

After seeing a successful first course for my sister and her friend Steve, I decided to give the simeons hcg protocol a try. I am 41 years old and have carried around extra pounds for many years. I don't recall every being mistaken for thin...but the term most used to describe me was "well built". I am 5' 4 1/2" tall and have very thick thighs and calves. Mistaken for a runner or a dancer, they are well defined. I have been a size "C" cup since I was about 18 years old and over the last 5 years have grown 30-40 lbs and to a "D" cup. Obviously, I am overweight. My goal is to lose atleast 30 lbs, reduce my cholestrol level and increase my energy.

I have ordered my supplies and hope to receive them in the next 2-3 weeks.
