R1 :: P2 :: DAY 11 :: INJ 11 :: 165.2 (-5.8)

8am: Coffee with Splenda
12pm: Apple
3:00pm: Chicken, Asparagus, Garlic Breadstick
9:00pm: 93/7 Hamburger, Tomato, Garlic Breadsticks (God I love these!)

(-11.8) According to my calculations..lol...I am losing an average of 1.07lbs per day. If you don't count my load weight, I'm still losing 0.64 per day. There is no other way I could lose this much in just 9 days and still feel good and full of energy...believe me, I've tried 'em all!

I am not so energetic the last couple of days but I am fighting this cold that seems to be effecting throat, ears, nose and my skin is bone dry. I'm going to have to break down and use a little bit of lotion.

I noticed something yesterday...I haven't had heartburn since Day 3...granted I'm not eating the crap I usually eat, but the folks at work think it's bizarre I can get horrible heartburn from plain oatmeal.

I also have high cholesterol...think I'll make an appointment to do my blood work in the next couple weeks. Not sure if I should do it during P2, P3 or P4. Gonna have to ask my mentor Susan for some advise on that.

I read you can use Vaseline Petroleum Jelly for dry skin and a sea salt nasal rinse and gargling with warm sea salt water might help your cold symtpoms. I just bought some more sea salt today at Walmart. You get the normal salt container size for $1.43 (Hain's Brand). If you buy be sure not to buy the iodized it makes sinusues feel like they're burning.

You can't put petroleum jelly on your skin in P2. If it's not explicitly allowed in the protocol it's prohibited. Paraffins, waxes, ointments, etc...are strictly prohibited.

Oh, I read it on here about the petroleum jelly:

http://www.hcginfoonline.com/Tips%20and%20Tricks.htm

If this info is incorrect, where do I get the correct info?

Pounds and Inches by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons.

That isn't even written by someone who might know what they're talking about...no references whatsoever. She says that you can't have fats on your skin, then says you can have petroleum jelly...not the cream but the jelly. You can't have CONTACT with fat on the protocol. Petroleum is an oil...which to the best of my knowledge is FAT at room temperature. Then you do some chemical altering to make it jelly. I don't even recommend it for everyday folks, let alone someone in P2.

Everything one needs to know is IN the original manuscript. Anything outside of it that is contradictory is BS. SSOOOOO many experts on the internet.

Then you should use mineral oil for dry skin. I have a few questions on my medications. Help?

Susan Sharpe Miller said...

Dr. S sllowed mineral oils in women whose skin had become accustomed to fatty cosmetics (for their face). Not to slather regularly on their entire body.

My vote is "Deal with it." If it's that dang bad, crack open an aloe leaf. Note I didn't say go buy aloe in a bottle that's been modified, altered, packaged, etc...

I would ask your doctor about your meds. I'm really not qualified to answer that.

Goodness girls...it can be confusing...there is a lot of BS on then internet. I find it kind of funny to read some peoples interpretations...or alterations as it were. Well, I did find some Nutrogena Oil Free Face Lotion and I put it on the balms of my hands only, careful not to get it anywhere else. Hopefully, it didn't effect anything...we'll find out tomorrow.

Do you think if you went to a doctor and told them you were going to go on the HCG protocol that it would be well received? I fell like it's almost something I'd rather not tell them when I go for my bloodwork only because I don't want my doctor to start feeding me with negative blah blah.

They're going to know when you turn up pregnant! hahahaha

...to answer that question, I would go in P4. Like as soon as you're done with P3. Just because output will be stabalized by then.

Dedee said...

I'm sure my doctor would frown on my doing the HCG. I only go to the doc when sick. I don't even see the doc when I get my allergy shots. I guess I'll just get them as usual.

Where did you end up buying the breadsticks?

me said...

Oh, the Hyvee by my house actually had the Grissini brand. Grissino or Grissini is actually Italian for bread stick - specifically "a crisp stick-shaped roll; often served with soup". So I wasn't really worried about the brand, but these are thicker than the other brand that I had previously picked up..both from Hyvee in the bread/cracker isle.
